Belgium / Functional Analyst
Your Mission:
You take a leading role in the definition and the functional support organization of our products: with your product knowledge and our user's best interest in mind, you detail new features for our different products. Furthermore, you interact closely with the product management, consultants, development, testing teams and the support desk within Porthus. You also provide expertise to allow our customers to maximize the benefits of our solution.
Your Responsibilities:
The Functional Analyst's responsibilities are situated in the following domains:
• Based on the Product Requirements obtained from Product Management, you decide in close cooperation how to best implement these features within our different products.
• You actively use all subject matter experts within Porthus to create the best solution for our clients.
• You listen to our customers and analyse support calls; based on this information you propose product enhancements or alternative approaches.
• If needed, you solve 3rd line calls for our customers.
• You make sure that the features are analyzed and documented using industry best practices.
• You follow up the development of the new features, making sure that the development and analysis remain aligned.
• You provide input to the test team and have a QA role for the test team
• You define work packages in co-operation with Project Managers and others
• You act as a product and/or domain expert and as such assist and be part of the support teams within Porthus
• You participate in defining the appropriate support flow processes and extending the knowledge management environment.
Education: University degree
Knowledge and experience:
• Experience with both process modeling and data analysis/modeling.
• Experience with use cases and scenario's
• Experience with Visio or Flowcharting tools
• Experience with software development
• Knowledge of Customs legislation and processes in multiple member states are an asset.
• Knowledge of English, Dutch is a plus
• ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus
• 3 years of experience in a similar environment
