Belgium / Account Manager

The function: 

 

You will report to the Sales Director Belgium who's heading a small but energetic team of strikers, willing to go that one step further to meet the customers' expectations and get the deal closed.

The Belgian sales-team is supported by different corporate departments (marketing, pre-sales, legal, ...), and by a local sales support organization.

 

Main purpose of the role:

  • You act as a responsible and mature professional to close the deal within the forecasted period by carefully managing the entire pipe-line.

  • You hand over a new deal in a structured manner to the delivery organisation, and monitor closely the customer satisfaction throughout the implementation phase.

  • You build a relationship based on trust with the principal decision makers within the customer list and work on a long relationship.

  • You are a devote ambassador of the sales-team and its customers within the entire Porthus organization.

  • You are available for and communicate with colleagues in order to achieve knowledge sharing where appropriate with the goal to serve better our customers.

  • You inform the marketing and product management department on market trends and competitive information.

  • You represent Porthus at events and seminars, organised together with and at the premises of your customer.

  • Your targets are well defined and your salary is largely function of your achievements. As a consequence, the variable part is inspiring ...

  • You ensure proactive forecasting based on detailed activity reporting via MS-CRM.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Ideally university graduate.

  • Trilingual in Dutch / French / English.

  • Successful ICT solutions sales experience (managed services & software).

  • Experience in (large) deal structuring and negotiation of contracts.

  • Complemented with a good general understanding or affinity with Supply Chain solutions & processes.

  • Knowledge of specific target industry / vertical market is considered as an advantage (e.g. Automotive, Pharma, Chemical, Logistics, Food, Energy, Textile, etc.).

  • You are very keen on personal organization and have excellent presentation skills.

  • Impact & influence - Ability to advise the customer, involve partners and steer Porthus resources. You will coordinate pre-sales activities and play a key role in handing-over the deal to our delivery organization.

  • Networking & relationship building - Establish contacts at events and seminars and identify the decision makers within the customer network.

  • Bias for action / initiative - Actively searches for actions/initiatives to grow the business at existing customers and prospects.

  • Strategic business focus - Make value propositions to the customer and define an account & opportunity plan for accounts and prospects within the industry.
